 “AQUILA AND NELSON’S COLUMN”, Noreen Ayton, nee Tyler 1947 selected items from a full collection of Aquila school magazines from 1920 to 1962, and several Nelson’s Column Newsletters from then until 1969 to produce this fascinating reminder of school events and interests, creative and scholarly work and news.
It is interesting to see how style of writing and subject matter varied and developed over the years and, in a small way, reflected the huge changes in society as a whole.

 DAFFODIL “Wimbledon County Girl”
Registered in 2007, to mark the Centenary of our old school and also that of the RHS Daffodil Register. The large blooms, on tall strong stems, need no staking, and they bloom on or around our school birthday, March 8th.

received a dainty lapel brooch - shield shape for pre 1946 and diamond shape for the rest.
